The successful 15th Anniversary Celebration will be followed-up by the new ‘Mickey’s Magical Party’, a year-long event of parties and celebrations across both parks — with characters new and old — in honour of Mickey Mouse’s 80th birthday.
STATUSIn preparation
OPENING DATE3rd/4th March 2009
From a Star Wars speedster to a Ratatouille roadster — and what might be Disney’s first “alcoholic” parade float. Get a taste of Rémy’s all-new ride, just added to Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars, in our platter of pictures and video!
You’ve seen the pictures — and now, the New Generation Festival press launch in motion. For the first time, the Stunt Arena hosted a completely different kind of show — Pixar Play Parade meets Cirque du Soleil… meets French Discotheque! The New Generation lands here…
Out with the old and in with the new: The first signs of the New Generation Festival‘s imminent landing are already visible around the resort, from — you guessed it — sky blue banners around the hub to a Monster repaint and the first boutique marquee.
It’s another packed refurbishment roundup from Disneyland Paris, as the park finally gets back to normality — (almost) no Castle decorations, no Emporium decorations, no Main Street banners… hey, they’ve even taken the trees!
The days bring us ever closer to the New Generation Festival launch and its publicity machine rolls on. Latest off the press office conveyor: a brand new behind-the-scenes “making of” video featuring unseen concept art, along with lots of new “fun facts” from the celebration.
And 338 days later, Mickey’s Magical Party finally came to an end. The year had its last hurrah just hours ago as the St David’s Welsh Festival fireworks lit up the night sky… one last chance for the departing theme year to spoil your photos!
The second exclusive preview from the official New Generation Festival website covers the new addition coming to Disney’s Stars ‘n’ Cars — revealing a brand new motor car, piled high with kitchen utensils, for Remy and Emile.
Sorry Wildcats, the party is officially over. No more bopping to the top, no more basketball skills, no more Broadway feather boas. After three years, no High School Musical show will be returning to Walt Disney Studios Park this year.
The smile when you walk through the park gate, the “Bonjour!” when you walk into a boutique, the friendly conversation in your local language when you check into your hotel. Disneyland Paris is full of lovely people, right?
The building housing Stitch Live! and Playhouse Disney continues to be unwrapped from its refurbishment scaffolding ready for Christmas, with the full corner portion now revealed.
French celebrity chef Thierry Marx, tasked with bringing a whole new flavour to the art of theme park “street food”, gave a demonstration of his new treats during the Christmas launch events. Want to taste the first batch?
Update: Extra photos! Now to the main events: The return of the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Town Square and the new interpretation of Sleeping Beauty Castle’s illumination, part of a new nighttime Party Time…
Returning for their second year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties have successfully expanded to encompass two new lands, a new cavalcade and a grand new centrepiece show. Let’s grab our costume and go…
As the Christmas season at Disneyland Paris becomes ever more popular, so too it continues to retrace its steps — moving the Tree back to Town Square — and this year, the Tree Lighting Ceremony, too!
It has begun. The orange paint, the age-old decorations, the party nights and all the extra atmosphere: Here’s everything you need to know about Disney’s Halloween Festival 2009.
