It’s another packed refurbishment roundup from Disneyland Paris, as the park finally gets back to normality — (almost) no Castle decorations, no Emporium decorations, no Main Street banners… hey, they’ve even taken the trees!
Let’s take a look at what’s happening around the parks. In Main Street, two prominent buildings are now “en réhab”, in Adventureland more of the crumbling terrain is being replaced and in Fantasyland an end date for the Castle Bridge is set.
And still the snow comes tumbling down! This unusually cold Winter in Europe has brought extended periods of extensive snowfall to the lands around our beloved Magic Kingdom — and, as these stunning pictures show, Disneyland Paris itself has been given quite a dusting, too…
Returning for their second year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties have successfully expanded to encompass two new lands, a new cavalcade and a grand new centrepiece show. Let’s grab our costume and go…
Have you ever heard of ‘Le Rocher qui Bascule’ in Adventureland? Hidden between La Cabane des Robinson and Spyglass Hill, this giant rock tips from side to side when someone stands on top. Not any more…
The official partners of Disneyland Resort Paris and Euro Disney SCA have suddenly been spurred into action during recent months. Following the Ford sponsorship of Autopia and the Unilever/Ben & Jerry’s takeovers of several ice cream and food locations, it’s time once again for Coca-Cola to splash some cash (and their branding) over another “new” refreshments retail – their fifth in recent years!
As of 20th July 2007, Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Resort Paris will become the only version of the attraction in the world to remain faithful to the 1967 original. But for how long? As even Tokyo Disneyland now succumbs to the wit and lure of Captain Jack Sparrow, will Marne-la-Vallée ever follow?
Disneyland Park in Paris might not have Jack Sparrow animatronics or an eerie Davy Jones projection, but the blockbuster film franchise has finally been introduced to the park’s Pirates of the Caribbean in its own small way.
…you DID catch Captain Jack Sparrow!
The infamous pirate captain from the record-breaking blockbuster movies is now parading the shores of Adventureland each and every day of Summer Magic season. With a joyful swagger and a eye for treasure, this is your chance to help solve the eternal question: Why is the rum gone?!
Captain Jack Sparrow isn’t due to offically drop anchor in Adventureland at Disneyland Park until 14th July 2006, for the start of the Summer Magic season and the worldwide release of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, but already a selection of official preview photos have been released, showing this new “face character” in action outside the Paris attraction.
